Business Terms & Conditions of Sale

All orders for goods accepted by Compliance Training Products Limited (“the vendor”) are accepted subject to the following conditions which shall form part of and govern the contract of sale. Acceptance of goods shall be deemed to be acceptance of these conditions of sale. Any term sought to be imposed by a purchaser which would vary these conditions is not accepted. No agent or representative of the vendor has authority to vary these conditions unless specified in writing by a director of the vendor.


Purchaser Satisfaction

Compliance Training Products Limited operates a policy of “satisfaction guaranteed” and will:
(a) refund the full purchase price of any goods which the purchaser decides are unsatisfactory, for any reason, and returns unused to the vendor within 21 days of purchase.
(b) replace free of charge any goods which prove defective within twelve months of purchase.
(c) replace any goods which prove defective more than twelve months from date of purchase at a price reduction related to the period of use the purchaser enjoyed with the original goods.
(d) in a case where the purchaser has used the goods and subsequently decides they are unsatisfactory although not defective, seek to achieve satisfaction by offering replacement goods at a reduced price related to the period the purchaser used the original goods.

Copyright & Licence for Usage

All goods sold by the vendor are the subject of copyright and intellectual property rights, and certain goods have conditions and restrictions controlling their usage specified within the goods or in a licence issued by the vendor. Purchasers of these goods acknowledge their obligation to observe such conditions and restrictions and understand that breach of copyright and of these conditions and restrictions can result in civil liability and criminal action.

Payment & Price

(a) The vendor reserves the right to vary the prices of goods. If this represents an increase over the price understood by the purchaser when placing an order – for example if using an out-of-date order form – the vendor will contact the purchaser and if the purchaser requests will cancel the order and refund any monies paid.
(b) All invoices are due for payment strictly 14 days from Date of Invoice. Payment is to be made in sterling unless otherwise agreed in writing by the vendor.

Delivery Times & Availability

Orders are normally dispatched within two working days, and delivered (UK) within one working week. If any item is not in stock, the vendor will contact the purchaser to advise availability. Payment will not be processed until the goods are shipped.

Returned Goods

(a) The vendor will not accept goods for credit, refund, replacement, or rectification unless such return has been authorised by the vendor.
(b) The purchaser shall be responsible for the cost of carriage and insurance of all goods returned by the purchaser to the vendor for credit, refund, replacement, or rectification, which goods shall be at the risk of the purchaser until actual receipt of the goods by the vendor. The onus of proof of safe delivery shall rest with the purchaser.

Consequential Loss

While all reasonable care has been taken in the preparation of the goods, the vendor accepts no liability whatsoever for any errors or omissions and cannot be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of following any information or guidance contained in the goods. No part of any goods supplied by the vendor constitutes legal advice. The purchaser should consult a suitably qualified expert on any specific issue. The extent of the vendor liability to the purchaser for any default or breach whatsoever and howsoever arising shall in no case exceed the invoice value of the goods and the vendor shall in no circumstances whatsoever be liable to the purchaser in respect of any loss or damage whether suffered by the purchaser or any customer of the purchaser and whether direct, indirect, consequential, or however else arising.

Data Protection

Compliance Training Products Limited is committed to ensuring that all Personal Data disclosed by the purchaser is processed fairly and lawfully in accordance with the principles of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

The vendor confirms that Personal Data provided by the purchaser in relation to the sale of products shall be processed according to the lawful bases of “legal obligation” and “legitimate interest”. Personal Data collected by the vendor is limited to that which is necessary to:
(a) deliver the products and services purchased by the purchaser;
(b) enable the vendor to maintain accurate records of purchase history in order to fulfil its statutory accounting obligations;
(c) notify the purchaser of information on related products and services which may be of relevance, and;
(d) that Personal Data provided by the purchaser shall not be used for any other purpose.

No Personal Data disclosed by the purchaser will be transferred outside the European Economic Area (unless it originated outside the European Economic Area). Personal Data provided by the purchaser in relation to the sale of printed reference products or online training products may be shared with authorised third parties providing specialised services including email deployment, web analytics and advertising. The Personal Data of key Client contacts shall be processed in accordance with relevant clauses in the data protection policy. User data provided by a purchaser of the licensed Training on Record online learning programme shall be processed in accordance with data protection clauses in the licence agreement. The vendor warrants it shall maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of all Personal Data disclosed by the purchaser.
